Delicious Weight Loss Recipes

People wanting to lose weight usually feel that they will have to eat tasteless boiled food and sacrifice their favourite dishes.
People feel that losing weight requires hours of sweating and running on the treadmill.

But in Vrindavan Nutrition, losing weight is a quick enjoyable journey, at the end of which you look and feel extremely young, happy and beautiful.

Presenting some dishes which are delicious, fulfilling and low calorie and helps you shed the extra fat.

Moong / Mataki Chaat -


Ingredients:
150 gm sprouted Moong /Mataki
¼ cup chopped Tomatoes
¼ cup chopped Carrots
¼ cup chopped cucumber
¼ cup chopped cabbage/onion
2 tbsp chooped coriander
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 green chilli chopped
1 tbsp Chat Masala
Salt as per taste
Aachar/Imli chutney 
Sev

Method -
We will steam sprouted Mataki with add 1 cup water & some salt.

Add chopped tomatoes, carrots, cabbage /onion, cucumber, coriander leaves, chopped green chillies, Chaat masala, lemon juice, salt to taste you can add any aachar/Imli chutney.

Mix well Mataki Chaat can be served with Sev & mini roasted urad papad immediately.

Apple & Cucumber Salad 


Ingredients:
Apple - half medium size
Cucumber - one medium size 
½ tsp red chili flakes
¼ tsp black pepper
½ tsp lemon Juice
rock salt

Method -
Take a bowl cut apple & cucumber in a small & thin pieces. 
Add chilli flakes, black pepper, lemon juice, salt & toss well. 
Keep aside for 10-15 min.

Serve ðŸ˜‹yummy salad.


Palak Sprout Idli 

Ingredients -
1 cup Moong sprout
50 g / ½ cup Spinach
½ cup besan flour 
washed & chopped
¼ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp hing
Salt as per taste
2 tbsp oil for greasing

Method -
Grind moong sprout & spinach together to smooth paste.
Mix them well gently with salt, hing, besan & baking soda.
Cover & keep aside for 15 min.
Fill the batter in greased oil moulds & cook for 10 min.
Remove from the moulds & serve hot idli with chutney/sambar immediately.


Sprouted Moong Chilla 

Ingredients -
1 cup sprouted moong
1 tsp ginger/garlic
2-3 green chillies
Salt to taste
2 tbsp besan
1 cup coriander
1/2 cup grated carrot
Oil to spray

Method -
Place the moong in the grinder along with the ginger/garlic& salt and blend until smooth, using just enough water to get a slightly-runnier-than- pancake-batter consistency. Add the besan & veggies & mix well. Set aside for 10 min & mix again.

Heat a cast-iron or nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until water sprinkled on the surface sitters of dries up immediately.

Make sprouted moong Chilla on heated pan & serve hot Chilla with chutney/sambhar immediately.


Tofu - Broccoli Salad 
Ingredients -
1 cup small & fresh Tofu pieces
½ cup steamed broccoli florets
½ cup chopped capsicum 
Finely chopped ginger/garlic
Finely chopped green chilli
1 tsp chopped coriander
1 tbsp Soy sauce 
½ tbsp Tomato sauce
1 tbsp oil
Method -
Take one pan heat 1 tbsp oil & shallow fry tofu & broccoli florets.
Add chopped ginger, garlic, chilli also. Stir upto it gets golden brown.
Add soy, tomato sauce in it & wait for 2-3 minutes.
Now last add capsicum & turn off the gas, garnish with chopped Coriander 

Serve immediately hot & yummy salad.

Sprout Dhokla 

Ingredients -
1 cup sprouted moong
½ cup finely chopped spinach
3-4 green chillies (roughly chopped)
2 tbsp besan flour
1 tsp fruit salt
1 tbsp oil for greasing
1 tsp sesame seeds (til)
½ tsp hing 
Salt to taste
1 tsp curry leaves (kadi Patta)
1 tsp chopped green Chillies

Method -
Combine sprouted moong, chopped spinach, roughly chopped green chillies & blend in a mixer using a little water to smooth paste.
Transfer the paste into a bowl, add the salt, besan along with ¼ cup water & mix well to make a batter.
Just before steaming, add the fruit salt & 1 tsp of water over the batter. Mix it gently.
Transfer it in thali & steam in steamer for 10- 15 min.
Take small pan heat oil add oil, sesame seeds, curry leaves,green chillies, hing & saute on medium heat for few seconds. Pour it on Dhokla.
Serve sprouts dhokala with green chutney.

Oats Poha 

Ingredients -
½ cup Oats
¼ cup chopped cabbage/onion
¼ cup tomato
¼ cup chopped Capsicum
Cauliflower florets 
2-3 chopped green Chillies
2 tbsp Coriander
1 tsp Oil
½ tsp Mustard seeds
½ tsp Cumin
Hing
1 tbsp Peanuts

Method -
Heat one pan add oil, mustard seeds, Cumin, hing, chillies & peanuts. Stir well.
Add chopped cabbage/onion, tomato, Capsicum, cauliflower florets, cover the pan & steam all vegetables for 3-4 minutes & add Oats.

Garnish with coriander & serve it immediately.

Sprouted Kale Chane

Ingredients 
½ cup steamed Kale
 Chane
¼ tsp cumin powder
¼ tsp coriander powder
½ tsp red Chili powder
½ tsp Chaat masala
Salt as per taste 
½ tsp lemon juice 
Fresh coriander leaves

Method -
Take a bowl with ½ cup of steamed Kale Chane.
Add Cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, Chat masala, lemon juice toss well & garnish with coriander & serve this snack.

Moong Appe 

Ingredients -
1 cup Sprouted moong
½ cup finely cabbage/onion
4-5 finely chopped green chillies
½ tsp Cumin powder
Finely chopped ginger
2 tsp Oil
Salt as per taste
Water

Method -
Grind sprouted moong, chillies, cabbage/onion, coriander in grinder with some water to get coarse mixture.
Take sprouted mixture in a bowl add enough water, salt, cumin powder in it & mix well.
Grease appe pan with oil. Pour batter in it & cover appe pan using its lid.
Cook on low flame for 5-6 min. Turn appe & roast on both side.
Serve moong sprouts appe with any chutney/sauce

Chia Seed Energy Drink

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 lime juice
  • 1 tsp honey or sugar free

Method- 

Mix all the ingredients together in a suitable container (large cup or sports bottle) and let cool in fridge for minimum 2-3 hours.
